Why is it that the best looking men are always out dating skinny women? What’s the reason behind the mentality of guys where thin is translated as hot? Not all guys think that way, but you have to admit that most of them do. Just look at the way that men would be willing to break their necks just to stare at a thin hot chick passing by. Let’s try to reveal the truth behind the way some guys think. Just to clarify things, we are not out to make some people feel bad about themselves, rather we just want to talk about the reality of why men think thin girls are hot. 1. Society and Media- Cover girls are thin, that’s the rule and when there are exceptions to that, it only further emphasizes the fact that in order to grace the cover of a magazine one has to be ultra thin. It’s the same thing with television and other media formats. They perpetuate the concept that thinness is equal to beauty which shouldn’t be the right kind of thinking for people. There was a time when plump girls were seen as more desirable, since their size offers good evidence that they will be good child bearers. Just look at the classical paintings. That was hundreds of years ago though, things have changed a lot since then.
2. Pornography- Guys and porn go together. A good percentage of men watch pornography and a majority of those who do watch a lot of it. Now as a rule, porn stars are thin. Somehow this is implanted into the minds of guys that they can only enjoy having sex with thin and sexually depraved women.
3. Sex- Let’s face it, the normal guy wouldn’t want to see a lot of fat on the body of their sexual partner. Somehow it becomes a sexual turn off for them. Let’s face another fact, when a guy meets an attractive girl for the first time, he pictures having sex with them. They wouldn’t do that with someone whom they think is fat.
4. Trophy- It gives guys bragging rights to have a skinny and hot girlfriend whom they could show around to their friends. They get that sense of ownership as if they have a really cool car or something. It’s idiotic but that’s how it is. This is usually done by guys who have low self esteem. Those who feel that they have to prove something.
5. A Sense of Achievement- Skinny girls are more confident and are more sure of their own worth generally, this is because there are a lot more options open to them when it comes to dating, generally that is the case. Because of this a guy gets a bigger sense of accomplishment when he scores a date with a thin and sexy girl.
Those are just some of the common reasons why guys like dating skinny girls. They don’t make sense but that’s how things are.
